At the farmer's market on Sundays you'll meet Howard McGinnis and Kim Falinski, your local beekeepers! Howard has been working bees here on O'ahu for 6 years, and Kim jumped on 2 years ago. Together they manage between 50 and 100 hives, extract and bottle their own honey and do classes for local schools about bees. They have been featured in many Japanese magazines (including Crea), on KHON, and in the local papers. Nalo Meli honey is used at Town restaurant and at Pacific Place Tea Garden in Ala Moana - amongst others.
